People larping in the city park on a summer evening as an ice cream truck rolls past
@MLE_online In like blisteringly hot weather. That's badass.
@smellsofbikes it was after 8pm, so it was probably like 78 degrees
@MLE_online ice cream truck is todays equivalent of a wandering bard with a hurdygurdy. if you think about it
@MLE_online @NilaJones
Very disappointing. I was expecting them to turn and charge at the ice cream truck holding their swords aloft and yelling at the top of their lungs.
@MLE_online I remember this from the Hawkeye show.
That is HC cosplay.
Music can be transportive. That tune transported them to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
@mastosalo what's HC cosplay?
hard core
those guys must weigh in about 5 pounds less after the duel
by the way that ice cream tune reminds me of sounds on a commodore 64 game
Is it really that loud?
But it is working though, now I want ice cream.
@mastosalo Yea, it's loud. Ice cream trucks want you to hear them from a few blocks away so you are drawn to them
They are loud here aswell, but that sounded hostile. Or maybe close to a sensitive mic.
@mastosalo @MLE_online I think bordering-on-hostile-but-definitely-offensive is kind of the thing they're going for. I remember being in DC, at the National Mall. At Washington Monument, you could clearly hear the ice cream van standing at the 2/3 the distance to the Capitol, blasting Christmas tunes.
It was mid-September.
